  1. Gabrielle: I am so honored to post the first comment on your blog - I believe that discovering you at a BU concert by chance was purely 'bashert'! I want to be in charge of your fan club. I think about you often and was thrilled to get the press release about your new work based on Torah - how wonderful!! You are doing everything I would do if I were about 30 years younger and not an ima of 5... However I wouldn't give that up for the world - I take class but I'm a performer in spirit and in my living room! I'm so totally proud of you (such naches I share with your own mom...) Our Doron's bar mitzvah is this Sunday on Sukkot, so it's a crazy time - I wish you could be there but alas you will be busy with your concert. However, I will be sure to be an enthusiastic audience Oct. 15th or 17th. So for the time being, I send my best wishes and hugs to you for the sweetest and best year yet - have fun with your concerts, but take it easy - can't wait to see you again! Shana Tova U'metukah...
    Much Love,
    Nechama Cheses

  2. Nachama! Mazel Tov on your son becoming a bar mitzvah! May the weeks leading up to the big day be ones of awesome joy. I thought of you often these past seven months as I've explored the intersection of Judaism and dance; we are definitely kindred spirits.
I look forward to seeing you in the audience when your schedule allows, as well as hearing your rich, life stories (hopefully soon...maybe over tea in November when life quiets down just a bit?).
Sending you love and wishing you sweetness for this new year,
    Gabrielle
